Hoa Lac Stem cell group and Biotalentum Ltd, Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on study on using stem cell based models to screen anti-tumor active substances from Vietnamese medicinal plants. Both parties agree to conduct and promote research activities to

  1. Establish stem-cell based models for drug screening including using the human glioblastoma cells for anticancer screening and using human induced pluripotent stem (iPSC)-derived Neuronal Stem cells (iPSC-NPC) and neurons for neurotoxicity screening.
  2. Apply the developed model for screening chemical compounds extracted and purified from Vietnamese medicinal natural resources with anticancer potential.
  3. Study the methods of transformation of IPSCs into glioblastoma (stem) cells.
  4. Develop scientific plans for further applications of stem cell based models in pharmaceutical industry including patent application, publication of research results, training and transfer of technology.
